HELPING IN THE COMMUNITY

We have been busy helping with a few community needs. When CRADLES daycare had a need for financial help, we starting collecting items they listed such as paper products, snacks, diapers, juices, wipes, trash bags, etc.  We also donated money from our feeding ministry and we designated all our proceeds from the annual Shrove Tuesday pancake supper to be given to CRADLES.  We also responded to a local Girl Scouts request to save plastic lids for her project.  She turns in 600 lbs of plastic and $400 to a company in Evansville and they recycle the plastic into park benches.  She is placing the benches on the Wilbur Wright walking trail.  One of our members will be taking her to pick up the benches.  When Westminster Center spoke of their need to raise money to bring the author of "Toxic Charity" to town, we donated $500 to help.  We have joined the New Castle-Main Street project to show our support of improving our downtown.
